Cromarty - Ever fashionable, ever beautiful. The essential cotton/linen plain fabric. Wash, or dry clean in fitted covers. Suitable for loose or fitted covers.

Lundy - Pure class, 100% linen, woven in Lancashire, washable or fitted covers. My number one favourite but I'm linen mad.

Scarborough - An absolutely stunning velvet, woven in Lancashire, and suitable for both loose and tight covers. 88% cotton and crease resistant; almost unique in my experience for velvet.

Skye Wool - A beautiful wool check in two stunning colourways.

Finisterre - 63% cotton 37% linen mix that simply makes the best washable loose covers. My most popular fabric since 1979.

We scoured the UK for a manufacturer of a slat system like this and failed, so we have had to go across the Channel to France to get them. They are slightly sprung, have two central legs for stability and are incredibly easy to put together. Our delivery guys reckon 8 minutes is what it takes to assemble our beautiful beds in your bedroom.

We only use solid European oak feet, turned in the factory wood mill, which then form part of the integral frame of the bed. Mostly we stain the oak feet with a lime stain, but with some of designs like the Pentlow we "antique" the feet first and then stain them a dark aged colour.

British Made
british made spec

We make these beds in our factory in Nottingham. We're pretty proud of this.

This is not the case, sadly, with most of our competitors, who use mass production facilities in Eastern Europe or the Far East; the UK, and our factory in particular, is still a powerhouse in making really beautiful, great quality beds, using traditional skills honed over hundreds of years.

This means we can do various things for you.

We get our beds to you quickly - no hanging around waiting for a container from China, or a truck from Europe. In fact we deliver in about half the time of most of our competitors - 30 days approx.

Fancy a beautiful velvet devoré, a 50's linen print, or a Scottish wool plaid, and in the time it takes to get the sheets from the linen cupboard, we will have it in production in our factory. Got your own fabric that you want to put on one of our beds... yes you're right, it's no trouble whatsoever.

Why us?

We are pretty obsessed about well made beautiful Sofas&Stuff, that preferably has been made in the good old UK. Well priced stuff, that really does the job, looks fab and lasts.

Fuss Free returns policy and lifetime guarantee

The boss has been doing this for some time now, or the early 1980's to be precise. We think he has learnt a good few things since then about how things are done best. This is why we offer our Fuss Free returns policy and then back it up with our lifetime guarantee on all our frames and springs.

We only sell on our website or at our beautiful countryside barns

We keep our prices really sharp because we only sell via our website or our beautiful low rent barns in the countryside. You can park for free right outside, and then when you are ready you can chat about sofa shapes and fabric combinations, over a good coffee or a beer if you prefer, to knowledgeable non pushy sofa afficianados.

Arles from £750

The shape is reminiscent of those beds you see in impossibly chic French markets. Curves everywhere but never over the top.

I was introduced to your company via a magazine article which featured the bed.  I found your Parsons Green showroom to have a look at it in person and while you didn't have that bed for me to look at, Nadia who served me was very helpful.  Your range of fabric, both house and other brands, was huge and I was able to find the perfect thing.  Order to delivery of the Sofas and Stuff bed took less than half the time that the mattress took, which I ordered separately from another company.  Your delivery service was great, with advanced messages and arrangements and my choice of delivery day.  The guys who brought the bed arrived on time, phoned me beforehand to warn me, and put up the bed in record time.  It's not only beautiful but extremely comfortable and better actually than I had hoped to have from any of the beds I looked at in other stores.  I was also able to order extra fabric and that was delivered at the same time.

In due course, I will replace my spare bed and may well return to you for that.

With many thanks for your service and product.

Lush and beautiful

I love my Arles bed. Specially widened to take an IKEA mattress, it is stunning. Each time I see it, I think how lovely it is. I had it covered in a charcoal velvet and it does not disappoint.

It was delivered before it could be assembled and I was happy to accept it on this basis. It took me around a happy half an hour to assemble and they provided the alan key and with my trusty Philips screwdriver, I finished off the task.

From start to finish the service was excellent, not pushy, very helpful with a lovely coffee much appreciated on the day.

Return visit to the showroom was exactly the same, leaving me to try the mattresses numerous times until I was happy with my choice.

The delivery people were great.

I am 100% delighted with my new bed. Brilliant !!
