Kent (Nr Tunbridge Wells)
From our showroom you can be in the centre of
Royal Tunbridge Wells
in less than 10 minutes.
The prefix 'Royal' was granted by King Edward
V11 to celebrate its popularity
over the years amongst members of the Royal family.
The Pantiles, a pretty colonnaded walkway built
in the 18th century for visitors
to see and be seen when 'taking the water' is now home to a
variety of small
specialist shops, open-air cafés, restaurant and bars.
When eating out in Tunbridge Wells, our two
favourite places are The Barn,
serving 'the best steaks in town' and The Ragged Trousers where we
choose
locally sourced organic food.
With the kids (or maybe not?) the Spa Valley
Railway is a steam and diesel train which runs for just over five
miles through the picturesque Weald countryside.

For an overnight stay the Spa Hotel is set in
14 acres of grounds just to the west
of the town www.spahotel.co.uk or Hotel du Vin and Bistro is
right in the centre. www.hotelduvin.com
Why not visit Cranbrook - the 'capital of the
weald' - a pretty medieval town dating back to the
15th century or book in for a round of golf at
the Boars Head Golf Centre
www.boarsheadgolfcentre.co.uk
And true to its title - Kent - The Garden
of England is no more apparent than in the gardens surrounding
Tunbridge Wells. Sissinghurst www.nationaltrust.org.uk and
Great Dixter www.greatdixter.co.uk, Marle Place and
Bedgebury Pinetum are just a few to visit.
You can also visit the spot where BBC's Pride
and Prejudice was filmed -
Groombridge Place www.groombridge.co.uk. This house
with 17th century
gardens also has an 'Enchanted Forest' for you to explore - if you
like walking
this is a great spot for an amble.
We could go on and on about how wonderful and
how much there is to do
when visiting our showroom …but think we should stop now.
