Fittleworth, barn showroom

Fittleworth, West Sussex, home to our lovely showroom. It's close to Petworth. You're most welcome to visit. But you don't have to, if you just want to buy a sofa.

That's because the big idea behind Sofas & Stuff is you can't make a mistake. This is how it works - it's like a free trial.

We deliver the sofa. You sit on it in comfort, at home, in peace and quiet. You decide if it looks good, if it fits nicely. If you don't think it does (unlikely), you ring us (for free). Then we take it away (no questions) and you get your money back (guaranteed). End of story.*

* This promise applies to all house fabrics shown on the website provided you unwrap and inspect the goods on delivery and advise the carrier of any defects at that time. It does not apply to furniture made in any other fabrics, custom made sizes of furniture, or to any corner or chaise units."

Of course, if you do fancy coming to see us, there's plenty to do here as well as shop for sofas. We love it. So we've made a list of things you can do. Have a look at the Sofas & Stuff to do list below...

The search for the perfect sofa may not be everybody's cup of tea, but Fittleworth where our showroom is, in gorgeous West Sussex, has lots to offer. Make shopping only part of the fun.

Fittleworth is a beautiful drive about an hour and a half from central London. We love it, which is why we're here.

The locale is the antique centre of England. There are more antique shops in Petworth than you can shake a hand-carved silver-topped Georgian walking cane at.

And art galleries, stately homes (Petworth House with its Capability Brown gardens), great pubs, Pallant House Art Gallery in Chichester, and Salvador Dali artwork.

From priceless sofas (not ours, Salvador Dali's) to priceless cars at Goodwood, you couldn't ask for more.

One of the finest collections of surrealist art in the world, particularly of Salvador Dali. The collector Edward James, was a catalyst and mentor for Dali in his early years. He collaborated with the artist on the 'Lobster Telephone', and most interestingly for us at Sofas & Stuff, the fantastical sofa in the shape of Mae West's' lips, which is still at West Dean, one of only five ever made.
