We're so keen for you sit on our sofas that
delivery, depending on your order, takes around 30 days*.
That's half the average time it takes
to get a high street sofa delivered, and at a better price. On one
occasion we delivered a sofa on an inflatable raft, but mostly we
deliver
by lorry.
We do charge for delivery, but only £49 to
anywhere in mainland England. So it's the same if you live in
Liverpool, London or indeed Penzance. A fraction of what it costs
us! Wales we charge £69, Scotland we charge £98 and Offshore UK and
Ireland (which is the Isle of Man, Isle of Wight,
Guernsey, Jersey, Scottish Isles and of course Ireland) we charge
£169, again just a fraction of what it costs us!
Access.
About a week before we deliver we'll ring you
so we can arrange a convenient date and also to discuss any
possible difficulties.
Our sofas are extremely well made and some are
very heavy. The van staff really hate us when they have to carry
them 500 yards up a hill.
Trial Access Checks.
But what if you don't live on the ground floor,
or are unsure whether your dream sofa will fit through the
front door?
We can arrange what we call a trial access
check. Our delivery team will visit your house and asses all the
possible tricky access points, already knowing the size of sofa
that you have fallen in love with. For this service we charge
a small fee of £49, not much we feel for your peace of mind.
Sadly we can only currently offer this service in England.
We're real experts at getting sofas through
windows with a block and tackle. I once had all the larger contents
of my flat delivered that way through my third-floor window in
London.
Please let us know at least two weeks before
delivery if you'll need this
kind of help. Our delivery team will quote a (very reasonable)
cost for this minor miracle.
Delivery Time Slots.
Everybody hates hanging around for deliveries.
So we do delivery time slots to make it all hassle free.
Just ring our delivery team on 020 8961 6968
the day before your sofa is due. They'll let you know when it's
going to arrive, within a two-hour time slot.
Don't ring earlier than one day before your
sofa is due to be delivered. We won't have the information!
Your old sofa
Lovely new sofa from Sofa & Stuff on the
way? What about the old one?
In with the new. Out with the old.
There's a time to say goodbye in every sofa's
life. If that day is here, let us know. We'll organise for your old
sofa to be taken away to the local council recycling centre, for
£35 (that's just to cover our costs).
Or, send us the best photo you can, suggest a
price and tell us roughly where it lives. We'll put it on our blog
so someone can give it a good home.
