Cabinets and sofas can often be found in the same room - this
certainly was the case a few weeks ago in our Harrogate showroom.
We were delighted to host the Secretary of State for the Department
of the Environment Food and Rural Affairs, Caroline Spelman as we
gave her a tour of our Yorkshire showroom, showing her the true
meaning of comfort.

Her visit to the local area was to see the impact that high
speed broadband was having on local businesses and Oakwood Park at
Bishop Thornton was one of the stops on her whistle stop tour.
"She was very relaxed and happy to chat and seemed interested to
know what difference the new technology has made to our business,"
said our store manager, Claire Sutcliffe.
"As we're not on a high street, we do quite a lot of business
online so she was interested to learn how high-speed broadband
helps. She was convinced we represented a really good example of
how a business can work in a rural environment - thanks largely to
the Internet."

We are firm believers in the power of the Web and having our
showrooms out in the great British countryside is one of the ways
we pass on savings to our lovely customers. It's a great way to
keep our prices competitive without compromising on quality - a
win-win situation for everyone, especially if a quick trip out of
the city is just what you need.
Without broadband, this simply wouldn't be possible, so the roll
out of super speedy broadband puts a big smile on our faces! God
bless technology!
We'd love to know if super-fast broadband has helped your
business too - would you be able to run your business in the same
way without it? Get in touch, we'd love to share success stories
with you!
