Although we veer on the more traditional side of sofa design
(well, comparatively), we are always amazed by the innovative
designs we stumble across on the Internet. This fascination has
only been fuelled by our new found love for social media. So, we
thought we would bring you our round up of the best crazy sofa and
chair designs out there
Lost In Sofa by Daisuke Motogi Architecture
Traditionally, losing things down the back of the sofa has
become one of the banes of modern life. That was until Tokyo design
studio Daisuke Motogi Architecture
turned this concept on it's head. Yes, that's right you can
actually store things in this chair - just fabulous design.

The Hug Chair by Ilian Milinov
Ever had a slightly clingy girlfriend who insists on sitting on
your knee at every opportunity? As sweet as this may be, there is
the inevitable issue of losing all sensation in your legs, which
may have soured the experience for you. Well never fear, ingenious
designer Ilian Milinov
has solved the problem by creating 'The Hug Chair' with plenty of
room for two!

Pencil Bench by Boex
This Pencil Bench by Boex
is made up of 1,600 individually placed pencils - each of these
pencils can actually be removed and used if you ever find yourself
short. The perfect bench for back to school times! Although, we
don't know how comfortable it looks (well, when compared to our
sofas)

Moquette Sofa by Squint and London Transport
Museum
What the hell is moquette we hear you cry? It's the hard
wearing, patterned fabric used to upholster seats of the tube - not
the natural choice for upholstering a sofa. But now Squint in association with London Transport Museum
have taken moquette to the next level with this creation which was
unveiled at London Design Week this year.

Feel Seating System by Animi Causa
The Feel Seating System was created by Animi Causa and is
made up of 120 sofa balls that can be arranged into many different
shapes, depending on your mood and company. This has to be one of
our favourites as it appeals to our creative side.

Flexible Love Folding Chair by Chishen Chiu
We have no words for this creation - simply watch the video and
be utterly amazed by the creativity of designer of the Flexible Love folding
chair.
Doc Sofa Bunk Bed by BonBon
That's right, you read correctly - this is a sofa that converts
into a bunkbed. The perfect solution for when you are a little
short on space and this design proves that a lack of space doesn't
mean you have to sacrifice style. The Doc Sofa Bunk Bed is made by
BonBon who are
masters of space saving furniture.

Savon Sofa by Flavour Design
The sofa has always had some competition from the bath on the
comfort stakes but now Flavour
Design have taken the dilemma out of this decision. How have
they done this? By converting a claw foot bath tub into a sofa -
although, we wouldn't recommend trying to fill this up with
water.

Behind The Wall by Jordi Canudas
Is it a wall or is it a sofa? Well, in fact it's both - this
ingenious bit of design by Jordi Canudas where you can
sit on both sides of the 'wall' quite comfortably. An excellent
alternative to a room divider if you're short on space
