It's been a few months now since we first discovered the
wonderful world of social media and blogging but it's safe to say
we're hooked! And one of the best bits of our journey has been
discovering the bucket loads of interior design bloggers based here
in the UK. We're continuously impressed with the flair and style of
our home-grown talent so we thought it was high time we honoured
all their hard work in the form of a blog post. So without further
ado, we present unto you our top picks for British interior design
blogs.
Fabric of My Life
This blog is the brainchild of Kate Baxter who also writes a
weekly column for Heart Home magazine. Kate has a keen eye for
great design and puts together some great blog posts, which we
gobble up every time as if we haven't been fed for days. And as if
this wasn't enough of an accolade (cough, cough), "Fabric Of My Life" was also
named by The Times as one of the top 50 design blogs. So what are
you waiting for? Jump on over and find out what all the fuss is
about.

Country Days
Not strictly an interior design blog but still one that is well
worth subscribing too, as it is always stuffed full of goodies that
we are always sharing over on Twitter. Country Days is
brought to you by the editor of Country Homes and Interiors, Rhoda
Parry, who certainly has her finger on the pulse when it comes to
all things rural. A great mix of countryside goodies and
inspiring interiors.

Confessions of a Design
Geek
Confessions of a
Design Geek is another one of our top picks and is written by
self confessed 'design geek', Katie Treggiden. Stuffed full of
inspirational interiors, electrifying photos, personal projects
plus a great selection of interviews with all sorts of top design
bods - this is simply one blog you cannot miss out on. Katie also
won the prestigious "Best Interior Design Blog in Great Britain" in
the MyDeco Design Democracy Awards 2010. A blog driven by pure
passion for all things design.

Heather Jenkinson
Another of our favourites comes from London based interior
designer, Heather
Jenkinson, who was one of our very first friends on
Twitter. She showcases her impeccable taste and flair for
interior design in all of her posts as well as giving her readers a
sneak peak into her latest projects. A great blog if you want a bit
of insight into the life of a top interior designer.
@HeatherDesign

Bright Bazaar
This is the blog for you if you like a big splash of colour in
your life - the tagline 'because beige is boring' says it all. Bright Bazaar is
one of the most visually pleasing blogs out there - every post is a
work of art and good design runs through every aspect of this blog.
Mr Bazaar, also known as Will, has a great eye for all things
colourful - a welcome breath of fresh air for those who are bored
of dull, monochrome interiors. Good job!

Pippa Jameson Interiors
Another gem of a blog from interior designer, Pippa Jameson -
who also used to be Deputy Editor of BBC Good Homes. As you would
expect from an interiors guru like Pippa, the blog is stuffed full
of the latest interior trends and inspirations as well as some
great reader competitions. One of the best parts of this blog, is
that you get the chance to 'Ask The Experts' which is a great
little service where you can get all of your interiors questions
answered by Pippa and her expert panel. A brilliant idea for those
stuck in a decorating rut or just in need of a bit of advice.

Something Nice Today
A newly launched blog, that takes the place of one of our firm
favourites "In The
Pursuit Of Loveliness". Written by the wonderful Ellie, who is
a regular contributor for online interiors magazine, Heart Home, the new blog does
not disappoint. Whilst the new blog is not strictly focused on
interiors, it still ticks all the boxes for us with Ellie's
personal recommendations on the nicest things to buy, make, read
and see. Really looking forward to seeing this blog evolve into
something as wonderful as her last blog.

Dreamwall Style
We're big fans of this blog and also the lovely Hannah Coleman
who runs it - who couldn't love someone that made it through to
some of the final stages of Pop Idol? Hannah is a big personality
on the interior design circuit and this personality shines through
on Dreamwall Style.
A great mixture of design and interiors, you really can't go wrong
reading this blog.

Dear Designers
This was one of our first blog discoveries and it set the bar
very high for all the blogs we read afterwards. Dear Designers is brought to
you by the wonderful Carole King, who is also the editor of Heart Home magazine. Carole
has simply impeccable taste and if we're ever feeling short of
inspiration, this is our one stop shop for getting our creative
juices flowing again.
@DearDesigners

So that's all for now folks, but we'd love to hear what your
favourite British interior design blogs are - we'd hate to miss out
so make sure you leave a comment with your top picks for us!
